TV BRICS invites Russian and foreign media to take part in the National Award "ESG Principles Headliners"

An interview with the winner of the special nomination will be published on the platforms of TV BRICS and the network's partners abroad

The Media Network TV BRICS invites Russian and foreign media to take part in the Award “ESG Principles Headliners”, which is designed to unite professionals and experts in the field of sustainable development, entrepreneurs and active citizens. In addition, the event aims to draw the attention of all stakeholders to the formation of a modern culture of society in the context of sustainable development and ESG-transformation of business to achieve the goals as soon as possible. This year's award is accepting entries in 12 categories.

ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) principles are the principles of a company's activities based on environmental protection, creation of favourable social conditions, fair treatment of employees and customers and good corporate governance.

As part of the award, the media network will determine the winners in a special TV BRICS nomination "Headliner among sustainable media".

Applications are accepted from journalists of media companies from BRICS+ countries that systematically cover projects and initiatives aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the BRICS countries.

The nomination is aimed at media representatives who promote the sustainable development agenda and the involvement of business and society in it. Journalists' works should educate the audience about the 2030 Agenda, national projects, ESG or corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, and Daria Ivankova, Director of the International Cooperation Department of TV BRICS, are members of the expert jury of the award, which will evaluate the authors of materials of any format and genre.

Requirements: special media projects by journalists about the SDGs in various genres (reports, TV programmes, columns) that have received recognition from the audience and the professional community (awards, coverage). The main criterion: regularity of coverage of the topic.

The best works will be posted on TV BRICS resources in four languages. TV BRICS and its partners' platforms abroad will feature an interview with the winner.

The address for submissions is tvbrics@tvbrics.com

Entries will be accepted until 25 January 2024.

"The Headliner Among Sustainable Media nomination is particularly important at this time. We all know that the media is the fourth estate. Journalists have a great responsibility to shape public opinion. Who, if not them, can communicate the importance of sustainable development? I believe that it is necessary to honour everyone who embodies sustainable values in their work, because these people are the main drivers of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development"

Marina Bogomyagkova General Producer of the National Sustainable Development Media ESG Media

The award ceremony will take place on 29 February 2024 at the House of Journalists in St. Petersburg.

The laureates will be professionals from leading companies and entrepreneurs who successfully implement the best practices in the field of sustainable development, integrate the principles of sustainable development into the business strategies of their companies through environmental, social and corporate projects.

TV BRICS International Media Network is a permanent member of the SDG Media Compact of the UN Global Compact. The media network actively highlights the agenda of sustainable development goals in the media space. Thanks to the work of TV BRICS partners in Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, the BRICS countries are able to facilitate the exchange of experience and successful practices in this area. The countries of the association today are in many ways innovators in the field of achieving the SDGs.
