According to the agreement, the parties will be developing cooperation in the area of information exchange of news materials, thematic video content; as well as conducting joint interviews and events.
Before the signing ceremony, the representatives of the two parties had a productive discussion on the matter of cooperation between the Chinese and the Russian media.
Tang Weihun expressed the hope that the parties would be able to take advantage of the good opportunity and use the benefits of all the media in the partner holdings to more broadly cover the modern life of China and Russia, organize online and offline information, cultural and sports events in various formats. Moreover, she hopes that due to the wide influence of Renminwang and MKR-MEDIA there will be an opportunity to spread the news about China and Russia to other countries of the world.
“Friendly relationship between Russia and China are developing not only at a high level, but also in the spheres of economy, culture, and sports; it is important that they also affect the younger generation of the two countries. We hope that because of the collaboration between our corporations we will be able to tell the Russian audience the most interesting and important information about China”, said Anna Mileikova.
The parties expressed the belief that the signing of the memorandum would be the beginning of the favorable bilateral cooperation, which will provide more opportunities for closer interaction.
Currently, Renminwang Digital Portal and MKR-MEDIA Media Holding are already engaged in collaboration. In January this year, Renminwang, together with TV BRICS international network, which is part of MKR-MEDIA, created a series of programs devoted to two topics: "The Confucius Institute in Russia is a conductor of culture on "One Belt, One Way" and "Cooperation between China and Russia – the straight dialogue."
To carry out the first project, the film crew visited 7 cities of Russia, filmed 11 programs on the subject, which were then broadcast on TV BRICSinternational network and four other local TV channels. The series received positive feedback from the broad public, students and lovers of the Chinese language and culture.
