A New Natural Gas Deposit Found in SAR Will Give an Incentive to the Development of National Economy
The South African Republic can jump-start economic growth, due to the discovery of the Brulpadda natural gas field off the southern shore of the country, Sibnovosti.ru with the reference to Vesti-Finance reports.
"This discovery can become a major incentive for economy, and we welcome it as we continue to look for investments for our economygrowth", journalists quote the words of the South African Minister of Mineral Resources Gwede Mantashe.
According to the experts, the mineral wealth can make up to 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent.
"In spite of the fact that this is not an oil deposit, if Brulpadda’s deposits will be estimated at up to 1 billion barrels of oil equivalent, this will be a turning point for South Africa anyway",says Andrew Latham,the Vice President of the consulting company Wood Mackenzie.
