China to invest nearly $ 15 billion in the economy of South Africa

The President of PRC promised to take measures to expand imports from the African country to support its development

Cyril Ramaphosa, The President of the South African Republic (SAR) said that President Xi Jinping promised to invest $ 14.7 billion in the economy of his country. Reuters reported the words of the head of state on Tuesday.

According to the agency, the President of PRC said in his turn that China will take active measures to expand imports from South Africa to support its development.

In addition, the general director of Eskom, a South African state energy company, said that the China Development Bank will provide the company with a loan of $ 2.5 billion.
On Tuesday Xi Jinping arrived in South Africa for state visit to negotiate with the leader of South Africa on the eve of the BRICS Summit.
